In the last month

a few things have gone down.

We are moving. Sometime this year. We cannot continue to live in these cramped conditions. We are actively searching for something and going to do what is necessary here to make it appealing to some schmuck...I mean very fortunate buyer. This means we will have lots of time coming up sorting, cleaning, painting, hopefully making money with a garage sale, and some yard work to make the outside purdy. I plan on bugging my aunt to see what all she has left from the place they moved out of- they should have more than enough for me to sneak some better curtains and other little things to class up this joint.

I have gotten back into lifting more, and being consistent with it. I have my first meet back this weekend. I am lifting raw, so no superwoman numbers this time. I am hoping for a 315 lb squat, 155 lb bench, and 315 lb deadlift. 785 total would be ok with me (it's almost the nationals qualifying total for equipped. ha). I am a little pissed at J since he's going to bail on the meet. That's $100 we could have kept. Sigh. I know he didn't intent to hurt his shoulder, but it's been an ongoing thing and it annoys me that it suddenly shows up right before a meet. I honestly think a big part is insecurity- he doesn't lift anywhere near what the others do and I think that bugs him more than he lets on.

And to the little j. Nice weather has led to some fun filled trips to the park. He loves getting out and running all over the place. The little shit is in to everything- he must touch and investigate everything he can possibly get his hands on. Good thing he's cute! Next milestone- bye bye bottles. We have 22 liner bags left and those will bite the dust. We will keep some different ones for morning and night, but that's it. He rarely uses them in daycare at all.

1 Year!

Woo hoo! Doesn't seem like we have royally jacked him up so far.

24.2 lbs, 30" 18.5" head (that is still 90-95th percentile). Not too shabby for a year's gain. j is not only a walker, but a runner! He is so confident and stable, it is crazy to think his first steps were a mere 50 days ago. And he's been moving well for almost a month now. Crazy.

And the talking. Oh, the talking. He likes to screech. There's a girl at daycare that does as well, and they have matches to see who can be the loudest. I am jealous that I'm not there for that. They need the sarcasm font around these parts.

Only the plus side, momma is going well. I'm down quite a few pounds, a few inches in the waist, feel far better. No more birth control pills for this gal, I'm managing my issues better with diet and exercise, which I much prefer anyway. If we end up with another, whatever. We are good with that.
