Please and thank you.
Yay for killer cramps! Yay for shitting out my insides and feeling like I am going to puke the whole while!
Hooray for CD1.

I guess that's what I get.
Stupid hope. Don't ask why, but for some reason, I stupidly got my hopes up this cycle. Why? Hell if I know. I think the insurance issues put me in a better than normal mood and apparently I started thinking everything would start going better.
Major der to me.
Work has been kicking my ass. We have a major audit next week that we found out actual dates of and the requirements a whopping 5 days ago. Thanks for the warning. Half the stuff isn't even in our office, it's at corporate. How is that going to work? Should be a blast, let me tell you. On top of that, I have had one stupid mistake after another lately. I just seems like anything I touch turns to crap. I think part of this is because I am rushing to get everything in order for next week.
In addition to that joy, we are having some other major overhauls at work (new landline phone systems, switching cell phone providers, going paperless) and lucky me, I have my sticky fingers in some part of all of them, and along with my boss and the couple of ladies from corporate, are responsible for the roll out of our paperless system. Joy. Plus I am supposed to get our billings audited for tax errors prior to the paperless transition mid month. Yeah, right. If I do it while I sleep maybe.
Working out? What the fuck is that? I haven't seen the inside of the gym in weeks. The days I don't have volleyball, I am usually so spent either physically or mentally it's not even a consideration. Which I know doesn't help.
We are having a big party in a couple weeks to celebrate the completion of our garage. At some point, it needs a couple things. Like lights and plug ins maybe. And all the gardening stuff moved to the shed (which must be first moved back into place) so we can get in the garage.
Had to move my dentist visit (first one in waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long) due to the stupid audit, so I have that in the middle of all this crap.
AND I need to decide which RE I want to call and set up an appointment with.
All in my free time. Yay.

::happy dance::
For a couple of reasons.
#1- I am about 99% sure I am moving my ass to an RE. While I like my current doctor, one comment has stuck in the back of my mind. The fact that it "wasn't necessary" to do an FSH and LH test. Wha? I've never had them done and they are a standard part of fertility testing. They would also answer a couple questions in my my, and would only end up running about $50 for the two or something in that ballpark. Why not just order them? Granted, I like that he didn't do it just to shut me up which is a good thing, but it is not an unreasonable request.
The not "necessary" part came from the fact that my progesterone tests have always come back showing ovulation. Again, wha? You can ovulate but have shitty egg quality (something that additional blood tests might indicate). I am thinking that a specialist is a better place for me, especially given reason 2.
#2- I have been debating with changing from DH's insurance to my work's. Everything has always been pretty equal, so I just stuck with DH's as it gave $0 OOP for maternity care. Good thing as I have been using the crap out of that.
So I was perusing my work's plans and come across this gem:
Fertility and Infertility
Services Covered:
- Infertility testing and treatment
including in vitro fertilization, gamete
intrafallopian transfer (GIFT), and
pronuclear stage transfer (PROST).
Yes my friends, you read that correctly. They offer IF coverage. It's a 20% coinsurance, nothing for IF meds (which I realize can be a good chunk of the IF treatment cost), and a cap of $15k, but it is better than the diagnostic only offered by DH's insurance. Open season cannot get here quick enough. (Actually it can as I am at my deductible for the year and have a few procedures I would like done soon. Though my work plan would be a $200 deductible, so that pretty much rocks- though the IF stuff does not apply to the deductible). Even with the fine print- it's better than the absolute zero we were facing!
This is the first thing I have been excited about TTC-wise in a long time. It's kind of nice.

9/9/09
Le sigh. I remember having so much hope for this to be a due date and how very cool it would be.
And yet here I sit. No baby. Not pregnant. No clue what is going on.
Rock on.
I am considering bypassing my meet in December and hitting one early next year if I am still able. The reason for this? I am considering having my lap done at the end of this month. They only need a week's notice, so I have time to decide yet. The thought of wasting 3 more precious months bothers me a bit. J has officially been notified of his impending deployment- maybe that is what made it seem a little more urgent. Another part is that I have met my deductible for this year and if they don't find anything with the lap (which I don't think will be the case for some reason), that means we may be able to move on to something else before year end when we will have to start over again with the OOP crap.
Why does this crap have to be so damn difficult at times? Why can't I be like the rest of my family and just look at a member of the opposite sex and get pregnant? Stupid uncooperative uterus.

It's not that I'm lazy
it's that I just don't care. (Quick- name that movie).
That is the point I have reached. I am pretty sure I ovulated way later than FF says I did- we have no chance at all this month. And I don't give a crap any more. Maybe if I had kept at the OPKs for a few more days, I would have known and we could have timed things better. But what would that have accomplished? More false hope? Whoopee. Just what I always wanted. We have no shot and I really don't give a flying fuck.
Right now I am leaning toward doing nothing next cycle- no temps, no tests. Just whatever. I really don't care at this point because it seems extremely pointless to even try- not like anything is ever going to come from it anyway.

Things that have been bugging me lately.
In regards to my chart that is. My issues are two fold.
One- my shifts used to be very pronounced. Now they are marginal at best. Granted I don't have the massive jumps like I used to have, which is a good thing. Maybe I am overthinking it and making a big deal out of nothing. But I feel like I haven't had a decent looking chart since my super crazy long LP cycle. It's almost like that long LP fucked everything else up.
Two- Second cycle in a row with no positive OPK. Again, likely nothing, but it is bugging me. Other than crazy LP cycle, I have gotten a positive that lines up with my temp O date. Now nothing. This month was close, but it was not positive.
Le sigh. Now I have the fun task of determining if I should do my lap this cycle or not. If I do, I would probably aim for around the 26th of this month. We'll see. I still feel like it would be rushing things to do it now. But part of me also wants to know if there is something there.
Gah.

Someone needs the cob removed from their ass.
Forewarning- this is a total work vent, and I will be removing the name of the guilty company as they are quite well known and don't need that shit on top of everything else going wrong with the project. There are also several industry terms and whatnot, and I apologize if you get lost.
Are you mother fucking kidding me? We are moving on to pay app number 11 for this fucking job. Apparently the auditor for the main company/project owner (they will be A) doesn't understand my billing. At all. Never has. We technically work for B (the general contractor). The format I am using B gave us because "we've used this with A before and they absolutely love it". That is a direct quote people. I am following the format that I was given and told they love. And they despise everything about my bill.
We were 6 pay apps in before we even got the official contract and schedule of values. Who does that? Seriously, I know A has damn near more money than God, but fuck, is an SOV that hard to dream up when you have been doing the job for 6 months? Part of the issue lies there- I had to back info into a format that was nothing like what I had been using to that point. Good times.
Now they are putting up a pissing match because I accidentally overcharged them $1800 on a multi million dollar job. We are going to come in about 20% under our estimated GMP. Every month they require something new. The job is slow and damn near done, and I still end up sending around 300 pages of backup for each invoice. Motherfucker needs a damn hobby. I know the employees at my company have much better things to do track down what comes out to be less than .1% of a contract's total value.
Then again these are the same people who pitched a hissy fit because one little part on an invoice didn't match up. The invoice's value? $2.32. I told them I would give them the damn money if they'd drop the issue. Seriously- look at the big picture people.
God I feel better. This job is set to complete this month. For my sanity, please pray that it does.
